Data transfer to a USB stick
We would be happy to directly transfer customized data to your USB stick at the factory. This can be just about any file format, e.g. PDF, PowerPoint, video film or HTML homepages. However, it is important that your customers can transfer these files as well and/or they have the right program for this.
Deletable and non-deletable data?
We can also transfer your data to the USB stick, so that it cannot be deleted. The stick would be "separated" (partitioned) into two areas for this. Your data (e.g. PDF catalogue with 5 MB) would be in the first partition, which could not be deleted (read only). This partition is exactly the size of your file (5 MB). The other partition can be used as a normal removable medium. The size of the partition equates to the memory capacity minus the read-only partition (stick = 512 MB, memory available for use = 507 MB).
Autostart/Autorun:
When the USB stick is inserted in a PC or laptop, your logo will appear for a few seconds. We can even transfer this data to your USB stick as Autostart. Even a local homepage (only HTML/JavaScript) can be opened via the Autorun function. Attention: Larger companies can prohibit running automatic files - therefore, this application will not function there.
Data preparation:
We are not responsible for the content of the data. Therefore, we do not provide Autorun files or superimposed logos. This subject is so complex and multifaceted that you should work on it with your Marketing/Internet/Graphic departments or advertising agency. We would be happy to provide you an example of Autostart files or superimposed logo as a guideline. Just ask us about this.
